In 2003, Alisa launched her lobbying career as director of Broydrick & Snow, the Florida branch of a national lobbying and public relations firm based in Milwaukee. Alisa formed Snow Strategies in 2005 and was joined by her husband Chris a year later. They have emerged as leading figures at the state Capitol for representing health care providers who serve children with varying degrees of medical needs. Alisa was instrumental in pulling together state leaders for a 2006 Children’s Summit and was a key player in legislation that created the Florida Children’s Cabinet appointed by Gov. Charlie Crist. Alisa serves as a member of the Florida Children’s Cabinet workgroup and was named by Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty to the Developmental Disabilities Compact Consumer Advisory Committee. Christopher Snow Prior to joining Snow Strategies in 2006, Christopher Snow spent more than a decade working in state government, including the Executive Office of the Governor. Throughout his government career, Chris was responsible for policy and budget analysis for the departments dealing with state financial services, management services, revenue, lottery, highway safety and law enforcement, as well as the State Court System, Justice Administration and Parole Commission. At the Department of Community Affairs, Chris was responsible for the disbursement of federal funds to communities devastated by Hurricane Andrew. Chris was later charged with budget oversight for the department Division of Emergency Management and the Office of the Secretary. Chris worked for nine years in the governor’s Office of Policy and Budget, where he eventually became Gov. Jeb Bush’s on-staff point person on all property and casualty insurance issues, including hurricane, auto and workers compensation. Chris was instrumental in the development, negotiations and passage of the 2006 property insurance reform legislation that was signed by Governor Bush. This was the last legislation signed into law that significantly promotes a private market model over government insurance. Later in 2006, Chris joined his wife Alisa at Snow Strategies as its chief financial officer and governmental consultant. His insider’s knowledge of the legislative process and state budget appropriations – as well as his relationships with the agency and legislative staff -- serves his clients well. Chris graduated from Florida State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with honors, with a minor in communications, and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). He is a member of the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists. Chris is actively involved in his neighborhood condominium association as a board member for the past eight years and is an avid Florida State University football booster. His hobbies include playing golf and competing in the American Pool Association team league play and individual events. |
